Imagine you are in a sea of sound. Floating atop. Your head sticking up above the waves. Take a dive. Sounds flowing towards you from every direction. Hitting your body, bouncing back. All sound moving towards you. To be heard. A sea of waves. Some waves traveling far distances to reach you. Some sounds emerging from within your own body. Ripples merging with ripples. Acoustic entanglement.

Dear explorer. Welcome. Hi. How are you, we, doing in our cities, really? PUBLIC RETREAT is an interdisciplinary art project exploring our human, and more-than-human, common auditory worlds. The project is led by Nicole Cecilie Bitsch Pedersen (DK), Jo Mikkel Sjaastad Huse (NO) and Johanna Fager (SE).
